Choose a pairing asset
Pairing an asset requires more than finding its ticker in a search result.
Compatible assets
A pairing asset must exist on Robinhood and behave compatibly with the selected pool and swap route. Memes, stablecoins and tokenized stock tokens can qualify. Availability in search does not certify safety, ownership or suitability.
Tokens with transfer taxes, rebasing balances, transfer pauses, allowlists or other restrictions can break ordinary liquidity operations. Basic metadata reads cannot prove the absence of those behaviours. Transaction simulation and contract-specific review remain necessary.
Check the address
The contract address is the asset identifier. Copy it from a source you trust and check the network. A coin with the same name on another chain is a different asset.
Market images and names come from an external indexer and may lag behind changes. They are helpful for browsing, not evidence that a token is endorsed by Pair.
Conversion routes
The liquidity allocation arrives as ETH after official settlement. To deepen a custom pool, execution must acquire the selected quote asset through an available route. An asset with no supported route can leave funds waiting in the vault.
A quoted price is not enough: the route needs actual depth, sufficient output, acceptable price impact and a successful simulation. Thin routes should wait rather than spend at an unreasonable price.
Choosing ETH
ETH already quotes the official Pons market. Pair therefore creates no duplicate ETH pool. The liquidity allocation stays reserved until it can add liquidity to the official market after graduation.
Before graduation, those reserved funds are not displayed as active pool liquidity.
